* Please notice that your Easter holiday from school will fall on Tuesday, April 2. You will have home day assignments on Monday, April 1st. You may, of course, complete those assignments on another day if you choose to take advantage of a long weekend. Just make sure that everything is caught up by the time students are back at school again on Thursday, April 4th.
Little Pilgrim’s Progress Journal Requirements: A dated entry of 3 or more thoughtful sentences is required for each reading assignment. Students should envision that they are joining Little Christian on his journey and write about their reactions to the events and characters encountered: what they think or feel, questions to ponder, and/or actions they might desire to take. Students only need to skip one line between entries so may include more than one entry on a page. This will be the last reading book of the year. Encourage a strong finish!
IEW: Over the next 3 weeks, we'll be writing one-paragraph compositions about 3 men who changed the world. On the following week, we’ll combine those into a three-paragraph report.
Tuesday - Complete KWO, brainstorming page
Wednesday - Oral retell from your outline, write RD, parents proofread.
Thursday - Start writing the FD.
Monday - Finish FD, parents look over FD to make sure everything is labeled and underlined.
All FD are to be written in cursive. If your child is still struggling with cursive, you can use the link below to create a cursive template. Select the option from the picture below.

Science Presentation Due Thursday March 7:
Students may choose any topic from chapters 8 or 9. In preparing the presentation, students should consider what intrigued them, what they’ve learned, how this knowledge might impact their lives, and/or what this part of Creation teaches us about God. The written presentation should include at least 3 thoughtful sentences and be recorded in the science journal. Students may use notes for the oral presentation but should practice effective delivery.
