Testing:
I
will be administering sections of a standardized achievement test,
the Classical Learning Test, this week. The CLT is
not a timed test. However,
the guidelines suggest
40-90
minutes be allotted
each day.
I am planning to test
between 9:20 and
11:50 each day. We will
complete part one and take a small break. Then complete part two.
We’ll fit math in each
day after the CLT, but complete the rest of the listed blog
assignments in order only as time and attention spans allow.
While
this is low stakes testing, it is important that your child come to
school each day on time and be
prepared to do his
best. Please make sure that your student is well rested and has eaten
a good breakfast. Also,
please send
quick, easy snacks, a
filled water bottle, and
a book for your child to read if they finish a section early.
Any snack that requires a spoon or fork, such a yogurt or fruit cups,
should be reserved for lunch.

week we’ll
