Operation Christmas Child
As a third grade class we will be filling one or two boxes for Operation Christmas Child this year.  I will have a bucket set up in our classroom.  We will be collecting items from Nov 4-13.  On the 13th we will fill the boxes and pray over them.  This is a link for suggested items

IEW
We will be learning how to write a paragraph by summarizing a reference.  You will find information in source texts.  These sources have more information than you need.  You will not note every fact from the source text.  Instead, choose four or five interesting or important facts.
When you write a report, organize facts into paragraphs.  Each paragraph begins with a topic sentence, contains facts, and ends with a clincher sentence.
