This week we are combining 3 previously composed paragraphs about animal homes into one 3-paragraph composition. We’ll start by creating a NEW topic sentence about animal homes and then copy (with needed corrections) the beaver, swiftlet, and honeybee papers. Finally, we’ll add a NEW clincher and title.

IEW lesson 14 Amazing Animal homes pg 103-104. Teach pg 103-104. Write an introductory sentence and then copy the final draft of the beaver paper. Place the new FD in the campus binder to bring to school on Thursday.

IEW Continue Final Draft. Finish beaver section if not completed in class. Indent and copy the swiftlet paper to final draft of the animal homes started at school yesterday. Review vocab.

IEW Finish Final Draft. Finish swiftlet paragraph if not finished in class. Remember to indent and copy the honeybee paper to the animal home final draft. Make sure to finish your paragraph with a final clincher. Bottom of pg 104. Review vocab.

Finish writing FD of animal homes, if not finished in class. Underline all dress-ups, sentence openers, decorations, and vocabulary words and label in the margin. Highlight 2-3 key words in the topic sentence and the repeated or reflected words in the clincher in each of the three paragraphs. Make 3x5 cards of vocab words.
