Math:
WORKBOOK AND TEXTBOOK EXERCISES:
Please grade all work by first indicating which answers are incorrect and then giving your student an opportunity to correct his/her mistakes before offering assistance. Initial the top when all problems have been completed correctly. 

Fact Practices: Fact practice (FP) will be completed daily.  The previous week's completed sheets will be collected every Tuesday for a homework grade.  You will need to set a timer for 5 min.  If not finished, draw a line where they have completed to and have them finish the math fact practice page for that day. 

IEW:
We will be writing our first story over the next week and a half. We start each new lesson with a KWO, and then write the story in our own words.

Vocabulary Cards
Students will be completing 3 vocabulary cards most weeks. On one side, they should write the vocabulary word. The definition and sample sentence should be written on the back. These are to be kept at home for review.

Spelling:
Review spelling and syllable division rules.
Review phonograms.
This week, we'll review phonograms and syllable division rules from previous levels.

Reading:
We are starting "Good Queen Bess" this week. Please note that there are no written assignments on Wednesdays the weeks I collect journals for grading. I collect journals on  designatedTuesdays and return on them on the following Thursdays.

Science:
Please bring the science textbook and journal to school on Thursday only.  

Geography:
Continents & Oceans song and map can be found here on the main blog curricula/geography page. Students will be responsible for pointing to the continents and oceans on a map.
