WORKBOOK AND TEXTBOOK EXERCISES:

Please grade all work by first indicating which answers are incorrect and then giving your student an opportunity to correct his/her mistakes before offering assistance. Initial the top when all problems have been completed correctly. 

Fact Practices: Fact practice (FP) will be completed daily.  The previous week's completed sheets will be collected every Monday for a homework grade.  You will need to set a timer for 5 min.  If not finished, draw a line where they have completed to and have them finish the math fact practice page for that day. 


IEW:

We will be learning what is a key word outline (KWO) and how to create one from a paragraph.

Spelling:

We will start step 1 this week on Thursday.  This week we are only writing sentences.  Please follow the instructions on pg 20 for dictating spelling sentence.  I will only say the sentences once in class and then the students will repeat the sentence and then write it on the paper.  

Reading:

We are continuing to read "The Hundred Dresses".  Reading journal questions are due Aug 26.

Science:

Please bring the science textbook and journal to school on Thursdays only.  

Geography:

Continents & Oceans song and map can be found here on the main blog curricula/geography page. Students will be responsible for pointing to the continents and oceans on a map.
